How to burn files to DVD+R disc?

    Sorry for the thread, but I need someone to help me with this in plain english.

    I am going to reformat Windows XP, so I need to burn all of my important files(videos, music, text documents, etc) to a DVD+R disc. How do I do this with Nero?

    I tried making a "Data disc" but it did not work for some reason.

    Is there something I need to do to these files before I burn them? (I do not want to play them through DVD player... just as data so i can transfer them back to my computer after reformat.)

    Is there another program out there better than Nero that I can do this with that makes it easier?

    Any help would be great.

    Did you try Nero Express option? From there click Data Disc than pick data Disc again. Click on add and add all the files you want to copy to the DVD. Click next and pick your drive, speed and disc name.
    What error did your receive and which Nero option did you use?
