When I tried to burn mepg to DVD it wont let me. Instead it will only let me burn to CD. Why is this? How can I fix this problem?
You don"t Burn Mpeg files to DVD because if you Just Burn them to a DVD they will not play back on a DVD player.... Mpeg Files have to be "Authored" to DVD useing a "DVD Authoring Program" and they Can"t just be any Mpeg files, these Mpeg files have to be DVD compliant ,Meaning that they have to Have a certain resolution and Audio format and Audio sample Rate and generally be Mpeg-2 files not mpeg-1 to Put them on DVD (If these Files are Mpeg-1/VCD files then they can be Put on to DVD as Long as the audio is resampled to 48000hz) An easy to use DVD Authoring Program that will let you add menu"s and Chapters to your Movie is called "Tmpgenc DVD Author" but if you want a More advanced DVD authoring Program that has a Lot more Features and Makes Much Nicer menu"s then Maybe Try "MediaChance DVDLab Pro".... If your Mpeg files are Not DVD Compliant then they will have to be Re-encoded so that they are DVD Compliant so you can put them on to DVD.... Cheers
