ok, i know what you are going through. i had gone through the same thing. error messages that would ruin your discs, right?

i have stopped using DVD decrypter and have started using the latest version of NERO, i think 6.606 or something. you HAVE to get the latest version or else it will not be able to read the ISO file of the PS2 game. also burn the disc at no speed faster than 2x. trust me it will work. i have retried all the games i couldnt write with DVD decypter, and they were all successfully burned with Nero. good luck man.

I am getting hdloader and swapmagic with the tool sometime next week. its being shipped. I have dvd decryptor, alcohol 120%, Nero, many different kinds of dvd copy programs. my PS2 is not modded. my pc uses only dvd+r. I read the thread about using dvd decryptor and copied a game of which i have the original "Call of Duty". I also made a copy of hdloader thats freely available in some places to download. The PS2 has the slide tray and cant read the copy of the HDLoader - it says to place a ps2 format disc -. Is there anything else I need to get while Im waiting for this delivery? Can someone explain what went wrong so that when I received those items I can backup my copies without tearing my hairs out wondering if Im doing copying right?

 

I Have a Stock Ps2 With No HD Loader but i have a dvd burner and a gameshark tried doing the gameshark trick didnt work can someone explain to me y i follow the directions on how to backup ps2 games with dvddecrypter and i set all the settings right but i still get the please insert a playstation or ps2 format disc same with my hd loader i downloaded a cracked ver and it said u could put it on a regular cd but obviously not can anyone help???

 

skidme it stops when is writing and it stops at 49%.I'll trie with nero and i will tell you the results.

Don't try burning GT4 its virtually impossible and not for newbies. I would suggest trying some other media...

ok I read 8 pages of this thread and I came to this conclusion.
The reason folks ask so many questions - including me - is because this PS2 burning is puzzling.

First- what is needed is hardware. A computer with dvd-rw rom. this allows you to burn CDs and DVDs BUT you may only be able to burn either the DVD-R or the DVD+R or both. Then of course you need those DVDs that you will burn. You will also need a PS2 with a fliptop or modchip. Modchip requires a skilled solderer while the fliptop requires a screwdriver any 5 yr old can handle. Im going with the fliptop here. Also needed is SwapMagic.
Second- SOFTWARE - DVD Decryptor
Third- how to guide- read the first page in this thread and dont stop until you understand a little more.
Also have extra DVDs on hand and preferable some DVD+RW so you can erase your mistakes and not make coasters. There are enough in the world as it is.

Now this post is probably uninformative, but if someone can post one more detailed than this as a NEW thread... maybe the old women would stop screeching and I wouldnt be so bug-eyed after reading 8 pages of a 20 plus page thread....

That looks fine. Except you don't neccessarily have to use the fliptop; you can yse the slide tool. It's just that the flip top makes the whole swapping process a bit easier. Other than that your post is fine...

I got the copied ps2 games to work with the swap magic and the flip top. Is there a reason that the games take so long to load. Is it something I did or is this normal.

skidme, what are some good quality discs. I used Memorex DVD+R and Sony DVD-R.

 

I wouldn't say the word Memorex if i were you, or u might get torn to shreds. I suggest using Taiyo Yuden media, bought from a reputable online store such as meritline.com
