Fifa Street 2 needs patched in order to work with Swap Magic. Some people say it doesn't, others say it does. I burned a copy of the PAL version to TYG02- 8x Taiyo Yuden DVD-R's and it plays fine. Of course I have a Matrix Infinity, not Swap Magic. Try downloading the patch and it see if it helps. Sorry I get so sick of readig this thead, I missed what game you were trying to backup. Quite frankly, you could've found this yourself with any searching at all.

    Patch: http://www.savefile.com/projects.php?pid=552712

    Insturctions:

    1.extract FifaStreet2-pal_ntsc-iso-patcher.exe to .ISO directory
    2.press "readme"
3.press "Browse..", select the iso file.
    4.press "Scan".
5.press "ntsc patch" or "pal patch".
    6.all done.
    7.same iso size.

It depends on the game you burn.

Sounds like it could be a media issue. What's the Media ID of the discs you're using? What kind of chip do you have?

    91. Q. What is the Media ID of a DVD and how can I find it?
A.The Media ID of a DVD is the true measure of it's quality. It contains prerecorded info about the disc's manufacturer. The quality of the disc will vary depending on the media code. The media code isn't visible on the disc or the packaging. To check the media ID, Open DVD Decrypter, insert your disc, and check what it says under Media ID or Manufacturer ID. You can also use a program called DVD Identifier which is very useful. You can find it here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_identifier.cfm
Compare the Media ID to this link: http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm

The most likely reason is that you're burner doesn't burn below 4x. If your firmware is up to date and you're using quality Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim media, then burning at 4x on 8x media should be okay.

okay. I´m using Verbatim and the games run fine on the PS2 but the console makes some loud noises. Sounds like the disc is spinning really fast.

sometimes clicking noises but mostly a noise from the rpm increase from the disc. You can hear it speed up and then it stays on a very high level.

Hey, I have tried burning a few games including gran turismo 3, nhl 2k5, syphon filter....i use maxell dvd+r and they have worked beautifully for dvd's...i have a matrix infinity chip and i dont think it is a problem with the chip because i can enter the menu can change the settings and i got a pro to install it so i have no idea..i have also just downloaded nero because it automatically booktypes it to dvd-rom which i heard could be the problem but it hasent worked for me so if anyone has this modchip or has had similar problems and know a fix i would appreciate some help thanks!

Maxell works pretty good for me. For my lightscribe media I use HP and when I'm burning I use Nero 7 Burning Rom. After I burn my games imediatley afterwards I put a D-Skin on them.

I suggest D-Skins for everyone saves a lot of problems.
