i downloaded playstation 2 files and it was told in the files to use DVD decrypter to burn the files over to a DVD + RW cd, and then it will work on playstation 2. was like this: Mode > ISO > Write, but then what? I dont know why but it doesnt work to burn anything, doesnt work to press the "write" button (picture of a harddrive > CD thing almost at the bottom of the programm)so, know nothing about this programm so I rly need help with this, anyone know how to burn this PS2 files over to a DVD + RW cd?
Im pretty sure that you shouldnt use +RW discs for Ps2 games. i dont think the ps2 reads them at all. If i remember correctly, -r discs work best for ps2 games. about burning them: file--iso---write, then locate the iso file on your computer, then click the button on the bottom left corner (the one with the hard drive and dvd).
Dvd dycrypter IS NOT the best ps2 game copying software at all. it brakes your games up into seperate sections making it hard to create a complete game. use the regular software like Nero or Sonic RecordNow (never failed me)
ok ty, but if I use Nero, what is the settings i should use to burn it? (just remember its files i downloaded from internet, to burn on a dvd cd then it can be played at playstation 2, its not to burn a ps2 game over to a DVD + RW cd)
almost spot on ,some ps2's will read them, but you risk burning out the laser.... dvd decrypter is one of the best programs you can get to reproduce ps2 games @madak dvd decrypter is easy to use just put the disk in the drive/mode/iso/write then select the image file you have if you are putting a disk in and the emblem is not going green, then its another problem...not a problem with dvd decrypter
hursty thats my problem, the emblem wont light green with my dvd decrypter program, when i put my disk in, so i cant burn a $hit. do you know why?
mkae sure these 2 things are done mode/iso/write your firmware is up to date on the dvd burner (tools/drive/check for firmware updates)
hmm..you mean: tools > Search for SCSI / ATAPI devices, nothing happends, anyway if you mean: tools/drive/check for firmware updates - its not in the DVD decrypter programm - at least not in mine, but let me get this right, DVD decrypter is not a burn program, you will need NERO (or other burn programs) to burn it, but have DVD decrypter open so nero will "read" it from dvd decrypter, or is dvd decrypter a program you can burn with? (btw this is strange, when i open dvd decrypter, and then put in a game cd like Half life 2, it reads it and in the large box it says alot of stuffs, and says "the disk is not empty", but if i put my DVD + RW cd (that is empty) it wont read the cd of, (and when i put in my dvd cd it says this (but this is not in the large box on the right): Device not rdy: logical unit is in process to becoming rdy -> then this : device not rdy (medium not present) hmm, maybe something is wrong with my DVD + RW cd? well its strange because i just opened it yesterday and it didnt work then either. (at least nothing is wrong with my firmware burning disk i guess, since it could read Half life 2 cd)
oh, fusk it, just found out that my other computer had the dvd burner, and this had the cd burner. nvm sry for bother you all, im a totally noob (didnt think about this at all) anyway sending my 3gig big file over to my other computer now. thanks for the help ppl
ok now i got this problem, after i burned the files over to the dvd cd it wont play on my platstation 2, I used this settings with DVD decrypter: Mode > Iso > Write, and Write speed: 1x. But first, do my Playstation need to be chipped? (not sure if its called chipped in english, anyway it do this: can play a hell of lot more games on it, taht wouldnt work without the playstation chipped). and someone talked about i need to choose the IMG file? i did this : (open the folder where like 48unrared files is in, extracted one of the many unrared files to my other folder, then i will get ONE unrared file. -> and thats the file i burned to my DVD cd..but this didnt work, have i done something wrong, pls SAY!!
