I have downloaded a ps2 game with all the .R01, .R02..... .RAR and a .SFV file, anybody can tell me how to burn the game to dvd to play on ps2? Thanks for help!!!!
no one will help you on this forum man, we only talk about burning original copies that we own, of course.
you need to extract the rar file use winrar. right click on rar 001. extract it then see what you have it should give you an iso or bin/cue etc then burn it
you dont extract them all, just one try the first one....001 it will give you one bin/cue file thats the whole game dont worry about the other rar files then just burn the bin file with dvd decrypter
there is 43 .rar files, each one is around 40 MB, so i have no idea with tat. could you please help me up?
RAR files are basically 1 or 2 files that are broken up in to mulitple smaller files for compression, and ease of transfer. What you want to do, using WinRAR, is Open the file named ***.RAR. Extract that. It will go through all the other ***.r00, r01, r02, etc... When you're done, you should just have 1 bin, and 1 cue file. Unless it's multiple dics, in which case each pair of bin/cue files represents 1 disc. Once you have your Bin/Cue files, using whatever burning program you're comfortable with, select the ***.cue file, and burn that as an Image.
[bold] you need to extract the rar file use WinRAR. right click on rar 001. extract it then see what you have it should give you an iso or bin/cue etc then burn it[/bold] must be an echo hehehe
So basically you will put all those rar files together and get one or two bigger files to burn. So 40MB multiplied by the 43 rar files.
Heh, just trying to help. Some people have a lot of trouble I guess...I love having an easy time with computers, as it saves me a lot of headache. I remember when I was younger, and didn't know anything. Boy did my neighbour hate us, having to come over every other week to fix our computer.
I also downloaded the version off of the internet but when i unzip the file i get a image thats only like 800mb but when i mount the image it shows that it is 4.28gb anybody know wuts wrong
what do you mean you mount the image?? people who upload onto the internet do this to make he file smaller iso's are compacted into a RAR file, this means a smaller download you need to unrar it to give you the true value
Mount the image means to use a virtual drive. A program like DaemonTools or ImageDrive. It creates a fake CD/DVD drive on your computer, and using their software you can open up ISO or Bin/Cue files as if they were actually already burnt to a disc. It's a great way to see if an ISO has the proper files before burning it. When it comes to PC software, that's all I ever do. I haven't burn a PC game in ages. I just mount the ISO, install and play.
yes,my bad for not explaining myself,i know what mounting the image is, just want to know why you would want to do that?
I did it to see if it was actually the game because the image is only 800mb and when i mount it it shows up on the virtual drive as being 4gb
cool,no probs, but like i said,it will show up like that because they are compressed, when u extract it,which i guess you have done by now,the image will be like u say around 4 gb's
hi: i downloaded midnight club 3 and enthusia professinoal racing, and i extracted the .rar file. and inside that .rar file, there contains another .rar file to extract. i.e, compressing it again in a already compresssed file if you know what i mean -_-..anyway, inside that .rar file contains the ACTUAL files of the game not the iso/cue, which i usually get. so how do i burn this game (do i have to rebuild, i duno how to do that), or do i have to make it an iso then burn it. any advice would be helpful.
