oh and each episode is like 230 mb and it should fit a 4gig dvdr+ but it turns to 1gig an episode when i do the nero thing plz help BUMPBUMP
I'm guessing each ep is like 20-30 minutes long, 1 DVD can hold 2 hours worth of video without much loss of quality. You say you're using Nero (probably Nerovision). When it adds the 8 files (4 hours*) It should ask you if you want to sacrifice quality so that it fits on the DVD (Long Play mode). Just say yes and it will allow you to fit those episodes, but it will be at a really crap quality. But you should be able to fit 4 on 1 and 4 on the other, that's a wiser solution. edit-- A a whole series will rarely ever fit onto a DVD and play on a normal DVD player, if you got enough money then I suggest you buy a DivX/ Xvid player so that you can burn the avi files as avi's, this way you can fit around 25 episodes onto 1 DVD AND play it on a TV without quality loss.
Darkhadou is right. If these are 30 minute shows then you should bebale to get all 8 on the DVD. If these are 1 hour shows then more then likly you will only bebale to get 4 to 6 episodes on 1 DVD. Converting an AVI file to a VOB will make the file larger. The only way you will bebale to keep the 250MB size AVI files is to burn them as a data disc. But your DVD player would have to be Xvid/DivX (AVI) compatible. If your DVD player is not compatible with those files then you will have to make a DVD-Video of them which means the AVI files will become much larger during the conversion to DVD format (VOB). As Darkhadou said before Nero Vision will say that there isnt enough space on the DVD after you import enough AVI files, It shoul then ask if you want to change the recording option to fit it on the DVD. Nero Vision has 3 recording options which are similar to VHS options. (Standard Play. Long Play and Super Long Play) Of course Long Play will be best quality where Super Long Play will be lower quaility. I acutlly am doing a Big Brother 7 DVD at this momment wich I wanted to import 9 AVI files but it would only let me Import 6 of them. So I will have to put the rest on another DVD.
