how to burn vcd with an avi file

    i have an 521 mb avi file that i want to put to a cd..i try putting it in nero but thers an error..same wit tmpgenc..i dont know if i need a codec or something..can anyone help?

    can you download avicodec from the link belo9w and then copy and paste the file properties into your next post.

    are you sure that you dont want it on a dvd because when you convert it to mpeg1 it may be bigger than your disc capacity.When you convert it to mpeg2 it should be roughly double or around the 1.3 gig mark

    the reason i wanted it on vcd was bc it was 512 mb..i didnt think the size would increase..anyway i guess ill go with dvd

    just making sure mpeg1 is vcd
    and mpeg2 is dvd?

    do you have a converter to get it to mpeg2
