Do you have the original dvd, or have you ripped it to harddisk yet?

you haven't set Nero Burning Rom to burn to your writer.... sooooooo it left an icon on your desktop? Did it burn an image file to your desktop? If it did then just double click on the icon and it should automatically burn to your writer..... make sure to choise your drive(writer) in Nero Burning Rom.

O.K., so you're saying that you have the whole movie (i.e. with video_ts folder) on your harddisk. If it's free from copy protection etc., you may use Nero Recode to burn it to dvd:

Run Recode, choose 'copy entire dvd to dvd', 'import dvd', then go highlight the video_ts folder, and follow from there.

    Good luck!

you should use better media......... imation is not the greatest and some members say it's crap! Use Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Maxel.... the ones that are made in Japan are superior quality!

Open your NBR and make sure you have chosen these settings. You can either choose the new tab on the compilation screen or the open tab. Browse and find your file and then continue to burn. Make sure you have the correct drive chosen.

In nero, if you have the trial version can you still choose what recorder you want the dvd rom to burn to or do you have to buy the full version

The trial version works the same as the full, you can choose what drive you want to burn to.
