the question's quite straight forward... how would i fit a 5.99gb iso of a program into a standard 4.7gb dvd. Most threads exclusively apply to movies only. word..
Depending on the data, most should compress very well with any ZIP program. I would recommend ZipGenius. http://www.zipgenius.it/eng/index.php
o, i forgot to mention that this iso is already in rar format, thus when i open it with winrar, it includes a list of folders and executable files. So how would i work my way from here, compress this while it yet retains its .iso format so it may be succesfully burned ?? Thanks again.
So you're saying that this is an ISO file that has been compressed with Winrar? If that's the case, then there's no way to compress it further. You may have to split it and use 2 discs or burn it to a DL disc.
God speed response mate... So here's what i did: I extracted all files included and they amounted to a total of 5.97gb ..yea go figure... Now how would i compress these into a single iso below 4.7gb. Keep in mind that this should be able to auto-run from a dvd when burnt. Thanks again.
What exactly are you trying to do? Is this going to be a program disc that runs off the disc or one that runs an install program?
Then you'll need to burn it to a DL disc. It won't run if the files are compressed. They will need to decompress. Edit: I'm curious as to what kind of program would require over 5gb?
