    Hello,

I have an iso file that is larger than your standard 4.7 gig dvd. I would like to know if it is possible to compress the iso file to be able to back it up to a dvd.

    Thanks

whether you can compress it smaller or not really depends on what is on the iso. if it is an application then probabaly. if its a game, movie, or audio then it probably won't compress very much as those are already pretty compressed. try winZIP and see how much it compresses. if it doesn't compress enough, then use winRAR to split the iso into two files, and burn it across two DVDs, which you can assemble back together with winRAR later when you copy them back to your computer
