how to connect xbox to pc

    can i connect my xbox to my pc using a rj45 cable..wat i will do is dat i want to enter one part to da xbox in da rj45 slot and the other part to da pcs lan/network card...i tried doing it but couldnt succeed...where am i going wrong
    p.s i dont have a router

    is your xbox modded? what are you trying to do exactly? ftp?

    yeah my xbox is modded...i got it done so i dont really know wat dashboard i actuallly have
    wat i want to do is dat i got some xbox games on my pc hard disk and i want to transfer them to my 80gb hard disk on xbox.
    wat shud i do

    You have to use a crossover cable to connect them properly.

    wat exactly is a crossover cable and wat do i have to do with it. i dont wanna use ftp plz

    your going to have to use ftp thats the best way to send large amounts of data from the xbox and computer.....a cross-over cable connects 2 like devices together like 2 computers or 2 xbox's.....

    Since you aren't using a router or hub, you'll need to use a crossover cable to connect the Xbox and PC.

    And like theridges said, you'll have to FTP if you want to get anything transferred.
