A friend loaned me some NDS Games ROMs which I thought I could load onto my R4. Only problem seems to be that the games have a .dsq file extension which my nds doesn't recognise.

I've seen other posts relating to a SuperSD card and some patching process which appears to result in files with a .dsq extension. Is there a way to reprocess these games back to .nds extensions or is it a waste of time? (I'd prefer to make use of the CDs I have rather than downloading individual games again from internet sites). Can someone provide a link to some app or a tutorial that discusses the process? Tks

    pamreg,
This is not feasible as once a clean ROM has been patched by any software, it can no longer be unpatched. You need to get new unpatched ROMs which will have the .NDS extension.

OK, can you confirm that the .dsq extension results from a patching process of some sort? This was just a guess of mine and a google search didn't pull up any hard facts....

I believe .DSQ file is a Supercard patch format.
