Okay, so I'm fed up with my iPod FM transmitter because it just gets worse and worse day by day, so I'm sticking back to CD's for now. Thing is, I'm so tired of only having a max of about 35 songs on a CD, If I'm lucky enough. Is there a way I can burn a DVD with audio files that are common such as MP3 and WMA and use it to play in a CD Stereo System, such as my car? I know it's possible to convert ISO's for PS2's games that were strictly CD and convert them to DVD, but is there a way to do that with Audio files? I'd kill to be able to listen to a few hundred songs on a DVD-sized disc in my car, because then I won't have to renew scratched CD's by the masses and constantly keep them organized by the dozens. Thank you for any help or information you can give me.
You can make a mp3 DVD, but not many players will play it. Check your player manual to see what it will do. I think the best idea is to make mp3 CD's. Depending on the bit rate of the mp3 tracks, you can get a few hundred mp3 songs on a mp3 CD.
I'm sorry, but I'm a little confused. What do you mean by mp3 CD? Typically, I drag and drop my files in to Nero Burning ROM under the CD Menu and use the "Audio-CD" option. The following options are CD-ROM(ISO), Mixed Mode CD, CD Extra, CD Copy, CD-ROM(BOOT), CD-ROM(HYBRID), CD-ROM(UDF), and CD-ROM(UDF/ISO). Can any of trhose options grant me a few hundred songs like you stated? Isn't what I make a MP3-CD already though? That's why I'm confused a little. Is there a certain program that allows what you're talking about to be done that you would personally reccomend? Thank you for replying.
First, try to see if your CD player will play a mp3 CD.Older players do not play them. I do not use Nero Burning ROM so I'm not sure about it's options. On Nero Express, It gives you a choice of mp3 audio CD.A mp3 CD is a Data type CD. So look under data CD and see if you see mp3.
Ok i do have Nero and it can burn audio CDs and MP3 CDs and if you are confused about the difference it is the format and not all players read all formats, now then back to burning a CD that can have over 100 songs or more(depending on bitrate(size of the audio file)) nero can do it as long as the audio files are already MP3 format and if the audio files aren't that isn't a problem there are a few free audio converters which will convert the audio from one format to another and i even think itunes can do it but just keep in mind you will lose a little bit quality. and just because i am in the market for a new car stereo, are there any that can read a DVD with mp3 files on it and do it smoothly not like some second rate dvd player?
