hi all, updated to realplayer 11 which enables me to download videos from ie. i want to edit the video in windows movie maker but the format is not recognized. realplayer format:Internet Video Recording. any help is very much appreciated. i have since burnt the file to disk and saved it back onto the pc. now i have a DAT format which needs to be converted to AVI ? added comment: i have downloaded xilisoft video converter and it will only convert dat to avi for the first 5min....grrrrrrrrrr anybody got any ideas or links to full dat to avi convertors.
You should use 'Super' from eRightSoft. Its free and will do exactly what you want. If that doesn't work (although it should) you could record the video from IE again and just use Super anyway. Hope this helps.
Onliner, that piece of software has done a "SUPER" job converting DAT to AVI. Thanks a million for the link If anyone has an answer on how to convert Internet Video Recording format to AVI format it would be much appreciated. At the moment i am burning Internet Video Recording file to disk then copying the disk back onto the pc which results in a DAT format file. "Super" software then converts that DAT file too make it playable in windows movie maker
IrlMonk, i have the exact same problem as you yet i still havn't figured out how you burn the internet video recording file to disk so that when you copy it from disk it's in DAT format. what program do you use?? i have installed the SUPER converter but i am missing the step of copying the file to the DVD. i have spent my day trying to convert these files unsuccesfully so I really hope you will be able to help!! i appreaciate any help!
