Alright here's the problem...I downloaded an ISO image file from the net that's a movie and I'm trying to get it into a standard Avi/Mpeg file format...This is what I have done: Since I got VCD gear I converted the file to a cue/bin combo and attempted to then convert the combo to mpeg however I get the "Mode-1 Mpeg Extraction not supported" message...I read somewhere that using an older version of VCD gear does it but instead I get a 2 min clip of the intro... If I'm doing something wrong what should i Do to fix it and if there is a better method to converting my iso file what should i do?
You can just basically use Fairuse Wizard to encode the ISO image file straightforwardly into AVI. Here's where to get it: http://fairusewizard.com/lang_en/fairuse_wizard_dvd_divx_xvid_backup_tool_light_edition.html Here's the tutorial: http://www.dvd-guides.com/content/view/34/59/
pryme_h... you rock... i didn't realize that fairuse read iso files like that. i tried it yesterday as a test and i made my first excellent quality 700mb avi. I think that the process took a while overall, but the outcome was great. i'm glad that you mentioned this. thanx So now my process for storing backups on the laptop will be: 1. DvdFab 2. Dvd Shrink 3. Fairuse
