I have a avi file which contains ac3 audio that I want to convert to dvd so that I can play it on my dvd player and retain the 5.1 audio ( I have a surround system). How do I do this? I have tried using Tmpgenc but it won't accept my avi (xvid) as a input file. I get the message that it is not supported.

I use The FilmMachine. I use Sonic Foundry for the audio encoder and CCE for the video encoder. Makes fantastic DVDs for me. It takes awhile but well worth it in my opinion.
