How to copy a homevideo dvd onto a wd passport

    Hi, we have at least 12 homevideo dvds and I would like to put them on our wd passport, but when I try and get the videos up on the computer dvd rw drive there is nothing on the disc, we copied the files from our digital camera via a dvd recorder and we can play them though the dvd player so there is still something on them. I have tried Nero,Dvd fab 8, AVS software and Kwik media. Don't know what else to do so if there is anyone out there, help will br greatfully received,

    Was the DVD disk finalized in the DVD recorder.

    You can put them back in the machine that recorded them and try to see if 'finalize' is available from the disk menu - if it isn't you can assume that it was finalized ok.
