i would like to get a tutorial on how to create a windows 2000 boot CD, not floppy. I have tried searching on the net but they keep on assuming that i am an expert in computers and understand all the fancy terminologies. Can someone please instruct me or tell me of a link that i can find a basic tutorial.

i have tried creating the boot floppy's but my computer won't boot from it

    Thanks in advance

Assuming you own the original windows 2000 cd, you already have a bootable cd. You may have to enter your BIOS screen at start up ( usualy hitting the DEL key) to make your cd/dvd rom a higher boot priority than the hard drive. Put the cd in the drive and then restarting the machine will then allow the computer to boot from the disk.

If you want a slipstreamed version of windows 2000 with service packs added you can look here. http://old.bink.nu/bootcd/

However, the four floppy boot disks that you need to boot windows 2000 work flawlessly, assuming your BIOS is set to boot from a floppy. You can get the here http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm

    Good Luck.
