Ok, my cousin called me yesterday and said that she was infected with a nasty spyware. So right now, she can't use any internet explorer. How can I remove the nasty spyware without using the Internet? Do I use "Hijackthis?" If it is, she doesn't have the program since she can't use any internet right now. By the way, how do you guys get a nasty spyware into your hard drive? Help anyone! (most of the the spyware were trojan)
One way if she has no Internet access is for you to download the needed utilities( and without a Hijack log it could be a big list), burn em to disk ,floppy, or easiest a thumb drive, and install them on her machine. But, and this is a big BUT, if these tools are used wrongly you could end up looking for the restore disks, not to mention the lose of maybe, valuable data. It would be much better to just install Hijack this ,save and copy the Log and post it to the forum where you will have members familiar with rooting out the culprets infecting your friends system. Conversley you can attempt to fix by yourself by perusing the forums and google to find and apply a fix on your own,,, But don't come crying here if it goes wrong!!
