i bought a copy of the rocky films 1 to 5 on one 4.7 dvd. the disc got damaged and my computer can no longer read the disc. i just woundered how all 5 films where placed on one 4.7 dvd. it was NOT in dvix or mpeg format? my dvd player played the films and can only play dvd and dvdr discs. it dose not play dvix or any other format. i just wanted to know how the copied the films on one 4.7 dvd with out effecting the format? also they managed to put a menue on it as well. is there any software available so i can compress films. if so, is the soft ware free or do i have to pay for it?? if any one can help thie newbie i would be most great full
There are quite a few compression/encoding software programs available for backing up titles. One freely available program is DVD Shrink.
Hmm... Actually that sounds like too big of a job for Shrink. Fitting 5 movies on 1 disk. It would be possible, but the quality would be very poor. May have been done with ratDVD. Try this here: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/ratdvd.cfm It's kind of to DVD's what MP3 is to CD's.
Hi there, Maybe they were VCD or SVCD format ? Which are MPG files... 1 movie usually fit on 1 CD-R, 2 at the most for larger movies...
