Are you "extracting" the files after you download them?
You should have a file with the .bin extension after you extract the files from the .rar archive.

Providing you are writing the correct bin with no errors, your problem is the JTAG wiring. Flash Xell to your xbox (its only 50 blocks) and see if that works, if its doesnt then its more thank likely your JTAG wiring.

You can use your cpu key to get your drive key.

Ok I did 2 things and was able to boot it finally and get CPU key...

    1. I added a 330 ohm resistor on J2D2.4 TO J2D2.7 jumper

    2. The point where J2D2.1 connects to the board is bad no matter what I do I couldn't get a solder point to it so I just held the diode there to boot it and get past E79 error.
Is there another point I could connect this in the future.

So I can dismantle the JTAG and the LPT connections right after flashing my origional Nand back ?
I just need the cpu Thanks is there any tips on how to get DVD key now using the Flash tool ?
    Any tips that is ?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Do you have a pic of the J2D2.1 point that is messed up? Did you rip the pad off? I ripped mine off on accident and i was able to fix it by scrapping into the trace with a safety pin, leading to it. I may be able to help you out.

Dont have a pic but I cant see the trace I started scraping it but I'm not really worried about that as I got the CPU key just have to figure out now how to turn that into a DVD key ?
How did you fix it ?

I don't know about the DVD key. As for scraping, you will need a magnifying glass (I used 4x) and some Q-tips and rubbing alcohol (I used 92%) but any rubbing alcohol should work fine. I had someone to holed the magnifying glass for me as I scrapped with the safety pin. I scrapped a little then cleaned it up with the Q-tip/alcohol. Then scrapped again, then used alcohol again to clean it. TAKE YOUR TIME and have patience if you are going to attempt this. Use light pressure and let the tip do most of the work. Eventually the trace will get shiny when cleaned with the q-tip, it should then be exposed. You have to solder that to where the pad is/was though to connect it all. I would also use a clean Q-tip every now and then. I really like to see a pic of this if you can get one. this may not even be possible for you, and we may be talking about something completely different, pics always help.

Good luck, and be very careful, i do not want to be blamed for you breaking your box.

I fixed it late last night I ended up soldering it to a trace on the bottom of the board ( ohm'd out what I could from the top of the board to the bottom) then tried to solder to pad on bottom and ripped that off there as well and had to fix that but got it!Its all fixed now.
I got the CPU key and now trying to figure out how to get the DVD key from that ( going back over the instructions again but some tips would be appreciated)
The Console I have has no PCB board in it just the guts of an old Hitachi....
    Thanks everyones help and patience.....

Its quite easy, make a note of your CPU key from Xell, open your NAND in 360 flash tool, enter the CPU key in to the keys menu and 360 flash tool will then provide you with your DVD key and original drive model ;)

Doube and triple check your solder points, heat them up slightly to make sure that they are making good contact. Make your wire as short as possible, even if it means your xbox has to sit behind your PC whilst flashing the NAND.

You can also create a batch file to create multiple dumps when you go to bed, that way when you get up in the morning you will have lots of dumps to compare.

To do this, copy and paste this code into notepad

    Code:
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand1.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand2.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand3.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand4.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand5.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand6.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand7.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand8.bin
    nandpro lpt -r16 nand9.bin
Do that for as many dumps you are wanting and save the file into your nandpro directory and call it batch.bat (you will need to change from *.txt to all files in the drop down box)

Do not attempt to write XBR or XELL until you have identical dumps.

    Hope this helps

Ok all I got a DVD key ( I changed a C to an E in my CPU key and presto got a DVD key ---- The photo I took from the TV isn't the best quality lol ) and its telling me its a PBDS VAD6038-64390C ( BenQ ) funny thing is it came with a gutted Hitachi so the previous person just threw the drive in for looks I'm guessing.

Thanks all for all your help,

Ok just keeping everyone up to date and bump this,
I was able to use JungleFlasher and spoof the key to a BenQ and was able to boot the console after messing with a RED RING for a bit and read & play a game.
I desoldered the LPT & JTAG and now I'm going to try it on another console over the weekend now that I know what I'm doing thanks for the help all !!!!

Making progress. Successfully got identical dumps....flashed Xell to the nand and was able to get the CPU key...injected the rawkv and rawconfig bins into the XBR bin...flshed that to the nand....plugged up Xbox and the logo starts then goes RROD....unplugged and tried again...straight to RRoD. Read somewhere to try and flash with out the rawconfig injected...so I did that and flashed back to nand...no luck RRoD....am in the process of flashing the original XBR bin back to nand to see if it was a possible bad flash...

Question.... since I was able to get the CPU key through Xell, does that mean my JTAG wiring was good?

    Thanks.
