Hi All, my problem pertains to motherboard compatibility. My motherboard has full support for the E4500 and only has beta bios for the E4600. I've been having freeze ups every couple hours. I'd like to change the cpuid or something to get the cpu recognized as a E4500. Does anyone know if this sort of downgrade is possible? The two seem similar enough to me. Thanks in advance.

    Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4Ghz

GigaByte Radeon HD 2400 Pro 256 MB
    Antec 430W

I guess I really should run more thorough tests. It is true that it is capable of handling fast processors but there is only beta support for mine. I feel I have to hold that suspect for now. I know of underclocking but I am talking about the MB actually seeing it officially as a E4500. Any additional advice would be greatly appreciated since these are all new parts.
