I bought a camcorder and am able to directly record on a dvd. The problem is, I want to download it to my computer hard drive to send e-mail. How do i get it on my computer?
Put the disc into the center of the tray of your computer's DVD drive and open Windows Explorer if it doesn't open automatically. You can just copy files to your hard disk from there. You might need to finalize this disc if you don't see anything when you put it in your computer. Put the disc back in your camcorder and look for an option to "finalize" the disc. It's often called "Disc setting" or something similar. FYI, I don't know of ANY email provider that will let you send a 1.4 Gb attachment, or even one 5-10% of that size. Unless your clip is extremely brief, you won't really be able to email it unless both you and your recipients have a lot of time and patience.
Dunker is bang on about the way to get it to your PC, but I think you may be okay with MSN Messenger to send the file though it will take a really long time to transfer from one to the other. Both need to log in to offer and accept the transfer and then leave the computer to do its stuff. Rich
