HOw do I find out what my processor is?

    AMD ATHLON?

I have Everest installed...it's somewhere there.

I'm looking to buy a new fan...a quiet one and some guy said you need to find out your processor first.

under windows XP, in the start menu, go to [bold]Help and Support[/bold], type in [bold]system information[/bold] to the search, under 'pick a task', click [bold]Get information about your computer[/bold], then in the main screen click: [bold]View general system information about this computer[/bold]

hope this helps or you can try other softs like FreshUI

or this is a quicker way

You can just click on [bold]start[/bold] then right click on [bold]My computer[/bold] then click on [bold]Properties[/bold] and all the info should be under [bold]Computer[/bold] (last section)
