I just completed my 180 minutes video work, made of series of still webcam photos, collected in period of the whole year. The size of the uncompressed avi file is 38 gigabytes. I would like to burn this file on DVD. Can anybody suggest the best solution for this? Thanks in advance for any suggestion.
Try DVD Flick You can opt for a standard DVD or DL. Output to folders before burning and compare the quality of the two. If you want to burn to a DL disk, run Imgburn (it's included with DVD Flick) and burn to a Verbatim+R DL disk. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm Edit:emended incorrect reference to program.
Thanks attar I downloaded DVD shrink and tried to follow your instructions. However, I can not work out how to open avi file in DVD shrink :-( Am I doing something wrong?
No, I gave you the wrong program. It should be DVD Flick. http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_flick.cfm DVD shrink is used to fit commercial movies onto a regular DVD. I'll edit my original reply to correct it.
Thank you Attar. I tried to use DVD Flick. Unfortunately, i keep getting ffmpg.exe error which i can not resolve. I tried DVD Flick forum, but I found no solution yet. Is any other solution available? Thank you.
There's a guide here for Avidemux that might help. http://www.avidemux.org/admForum/viewtopic.php?id=3570
