i recently did some video capturing (as mpeg2 svcd) with my ati aiw capture card from directv digital signal; the quality is pretty good but they were kinda big (about 280-310MB) for every 21 minute episode; i need to archive them to cdr to make room on the HD; can someone please show me how to fit the most into a cdr (either burning as svcd or convert them to xvid, etc..); i tried to convert the mpeg2 to xvid with virtualdubmod but it gave me error; converting to divx4, the file size is bigger than original...

    thanks a lot :)

Converting them to another format will Just serve to degrade the Quality so you are better off burning them as SVCD"s and you Only get about 40-45 minutes on a CD-R anyways...Well you Can simply Burn them to CD-R useing Nero in SVCD Mode but whatever you do do not let it re-encode them which it shouldn"t unless there is something wrong with them....Cheers
