Hi. Just recently installed a X2.3 Lite in my Xbox1.4 and been having fun playing since. My question is .. How do you flash BIOS position2? The X2 has 2 banks so you can have 2 bios's right. I now have X2 4980 bios on bank one (which I flashed on via CD from cromwells when I installed it). Now i'm 'getting my feet wet' in modded XBox land I thought I might play with some other BIOS's on bank2 (colour mods etc, etc). So, Since Bank2 has cromwell still (They ship the chips with Crom on banks1 & 2 as I can tell) I switched to bank2 and turned the protect off and fired up the box. Got the blank screen and tray eject (blank as I have a 1.4) put in my CD with my new BIOS. It did what it was supposed to and shut down. When I fired up on bank2 I just got the blank cromwells again ? Switch to bank1 and IT had my new BIOS ?? I've since re-flashed bank1 via EvoX to my X2 4980 bios, but how do I program Bank2? I cant do it via EvoX since cromwells cant boot unsigned code? Any advise appreciated. Thanks.
Figured it (after some reading around the forums). You use the X2 bios app (d/load form Xecutors howpage). If you want 2 BIOS's u file banks 1-2 with 2 copies of your first 256k bios, then make your other 256k bios occupy banks 3-4. Save this 1meg file, FTP it to your box c:\bios and use EvoX to flash. Works fine, I just tested it.
