how to flash box

i have a digivox and want to change the version from 2.000 to 2.800 and so far i know that i need a null modem cable or a r232 cable think thats right and i would be able to down load off eamos library link at the bottom of celtic 71 page i also want to update my mates starvi*w so that it will auto roll so the only problem is im no computer whizz so i just want to know when i go to the link do i download on to my computer first then on to the box or what do i do is there any instructions in eamos library . . just a little guidance would help . . cheers
