Reinstalling XP is the answer, but short of that, what exactly do I need to uninstall to get DVD2SVCD to work correctly again? I cannot even rip correctly without errors at the moment... and some of the movies I have ripped in the past and had on my computer will not convert all the way to SVCD... I get an error along the way... something connected to AVISYNTH... So, what do I need to get rid of and reinstall, even if it means searching the registry... I read on some forum that errors happened when you used one of the trial programs [TMPGEnc] and it expires... but I do not need any trial programs... but accidently installing one might have messed me up...
first thing you should check is your control panel "add or remove programs" check to see if their is anything their if their is remove it. Give me more details on the errors you are experincing.

OK, when attem, pting to rip I get... error reading, switching to slow... and then just multiple vob read error... When attempting to convers a previously ripped DVD, I eventually get... invalid mpeg2 videostream, no picture coding extension present... This is with the latest version of DVD2SVCD... seems like I got AVISYNTH errors with an older version...
Hmmm... not much help on this forum... I hang around Tom's a lot, and people there are all over people's promlems... but not too many people there know squat about DVD2SVCD... BUMP... please help...
