    Hello,
Ok I'll start off with a little story. I had my Xbox modded and the guy did a great job. And so I wondered if there were any Xboxes cooler than mine. And their were I saw all the cool lights and case mods. I was really determined to make mine as cool. So with little knowledge about adding L.E.D.s I did. And it worked (kind of they were really dim). The Xbox worked and every thing but they didn't look that good so I took them off. And the Xbox still worked, but I must have bumped something when I was putting the case back on. And now it wont work it try's to start 2 times then flashes red and orange. But I'm not sure what that means because I changed the colors of the lights with the mod(I'm like 80% sure that the dash was Unleashx). I would like to fix my xbox, but more than anything I want the files off of the hdd. Can you guys please help me?

I think it might be a broken trace on the mother board but I have no idea how to find or fix that.

P.s. If you didn't know from reading I'm a total noob with Xbox modding and electronics so if you could kind of "noodify" what you say I would be thankful

i don't have the answer yet, but a question (i'm in a similar situation).

how did you connect the leds (where did you take the power from to power the leds, xbox mainboard of xbox power supply unit)?

did you solder anything to the xbox motherboard, or did you only take it out and put it back in?

is there a modchip in or not

does it reboot 2 or 3 times before you get the christmas lights (frag)!

i hope to compare your situation with mine to determine what went wrong and how to possibly fix it.

I took the power off of the hard drive power cable(stupid I know)
I did not touch the mother board at all but some cables might have
it was a soft mod no mod chip at all
and yes it try's to start 3 times but it isn't red and green it is red and orange but I changed the colors settings of the lights
