How to get free sky

    Hi everyone,Im new to this, but does anyone know how i would get more channels or watch for free on a skybox or something like the starview box that has it all ??? (if you no what im mean)

    Yes i have a star the box. but a friend of mine has s*y on a sat.as no cable is going to the house.he can also get n*l as he had it before, so just wondering if he got the basic form n*l and put the starveiw through the n*l box. Would it work then ? (does that make any sense)

    i had n*tl sattalite for years and when the starview boxes came out i gave back my n*tl sattalite box and just kept the basic cable and ran my starview from the basic pipe wire. is that what u mean.

    no..see theres no cable at all were hes living so he has to use a n*l dish or s*y dish to get the channels. if he got the n*l back and got the basic package then run the starview through that?? i'd say it should work

    As far as I'm aware there's no boxes that will decode Sky's encrypted channels, if that's what you mean. You can get a standard decoder and get the non-encrypted channels fine, but the likes of the movie channels and whatnot would need a viewing card.

    Technomate do a range of updateable boxes which you can emulate viewing cards on, but it can't emulate the sky card.

    You can pick up a few sky channels on the other birds (Astra 19.2, Hotbird and Eurobird) using the emulated CAMs but it's mostly foreign stuff (like dodgy arab porno).

    If your friend can get cable at his place, if he gets the standard installation the Starview box would have to replace his cable box in order to decode all the channels.
