    Go to Network settings
    Infrastructure mode
You can now rename you connection if you want
Press --> on digital pad to continue
at WLan settings go to scan should see your network
    Press X and conitnue
Now do you have any encryption on your Router? eg WEP or WPA PSK?
If it WPA PSK it wont work with 2.0 version psps youll need to set WEP instead.
Sometimes you need to set your WEP to open key instead of "shared" key open key is better for security anyway.
Now try easy IP address settings first and see if it works.
If it doesnt do you know how to configure IPs?

Do you have encryption? If so turn it off and see if it works
Then youll know it is a security encryption problem.

If u have the manual of your router it should tell u there, or if u know the ip address of your router log on ur web browser and type it into the address bar

    In windows go to
Start - run - type in cmd and press enter
command prompt pops up in a black screen type in
    ipconfig.
Now where it says default gateway write that number down that is your routers ip , you can close command prompt
Go to internet explorer now in the address bar type in
that number you just got, it should take you to your router.
If there is a password it usually is username:admin, password:admin (default unless u changed it) Now your in your router go to settings or config, find a setting called wireless security and find out your password or settings eg which type of security your using WEP/WPA or none. If youve messed with it and still doesnt work turn off your security for abit and see how it goes, turn it back on once youve got your problem.

Remove that email before the mods get in here, yes you do need a wireless router any will do but link sys are good and netgear are ok, when you get one just make a connection on ur psp to the router by going all the way to left on ur psp then down to network settings, then new connection then scan then test connection to see if its ok..

No, psp is wireless so that means no cables, you can have wep key on your router for security (so no one can use ur internet connection) but if your on 1.5 then it supports wep only, if ur on 2.0+ you can have higher security but i recommend having wep as its good security and no issues..
