Ok so I got banned the other day. Dont know how it happened, but I need to fix the situation ASAP. I researched my options, and I got the notion that changing my eeprom to an unbanned one would unban me. I did this, and it worked, but only for a day. The next day I was banned again. My question here is do I have to replace my hard drive as well as get a new eeprom, or can I do it with my existing hard drive? If I can keep my hard drive, is there a way to change the serial so live won't recognize it. Help me out.
Yeah, I'd like to know how you managed to get banned two days in a row. Where you using hacks or something? You don't just get banned twice for no good reason. Maybe you're a problematic user? I don't have XBL, so I wouldn't know...
After I flashed my new eeprom, I wiped my hardrive clean of any mods, games, and programs. My system was completely unmodded at this point. I was able to sign into live now. I played a few custom games, and then quit out. The next day I was just banned. My theory is that Microsoft banned my HD serial as well as my eeprom. When I signed in it must have taken them a while to relize that I was using the banned hard drive, but they banned me soon enough. I guess I will have to replace my hard drive too. By the way, most people with mods don't get banned for using hacks in games, they get banned because they sign in and microsoft sees something whack on their hard drive.
You need to have your HD locked, and mod chip disabled in order to play on xbox live without getting banned.
