You don't need Boot Mii but I recommend it if you can install it to Boot2.

You can get some more themes at the Softmii website.

Go HERE for a Tutorial on how to create a theme. it is sticked at the top of the forum.

Larry your last paragraph says "With the Wii System off turn it on and hold down the reset button. This should bring up the Preloader menu. Go to Homebrew Channel in the Preloader menu." Do you mean turn the wii off with the power button till it turns red then turn it on with the power button and then hold down the reset button?

    Or

Turn off the wii by holding the reset button and turn it on by holding the reset button again?

    Or

Turn it off holding the power button then hold the reset button to turn it on?

Kinda lost here....lol sorry its kinda stupid but ive read this thing about 9 times now just to make sure i get everything right. I dont wanna brick by doing something so stupid as to turning the wii off or on holding the wrong buttons. Thanks!

It dosen't matter how the Wii is turned off. Just as long as it is turned off RED or Yellow (stand bye). Just make sure it is off. Then turn it on and hold the reset button down till the Preloader menu comes up.

I just finished with the steps from larry's guide. I go to the website to download a theme (Street Fighter or Transformers). I use MyMenu and I get FTP errors. sometimes it says script error. Do I change the .zip/rar to .mym while i'm about to save to pc or change it after I save.

hello.....i just managed to install a theme on a console running on 3.2 folowing larrys instructions for the 4.0 the only things that you will have to do different is instead of the 00000075.app make sure you locate the 00000045.app and also the themes you will use have to be designed for 3.2.....if u folow larrys link from his istructions it will take you to a website with themes make sure u click on the 3.2 themes........everything else in the instructions is the same and i hope this helps some ENJOY

    Read the guide fully.

    It says in red...

So make sure at the top your at the proper 00000001- 00000002 directory. If you don't see 00000075.APP file then your probably not at the 0000002 directory.

I want to install bootmii as boot2 but am unable too. I only have the ISO option. I understand I can still back up my NAND but if I was to brick the Wii I couldn't reboot to restore.
    (4.0U softmod rev13a)

    1) Why backup if you can’t reboot a bricked system?

    2) Is there any other way of hack to install it as Boot2?

    3) Is it safe to turn Wii24 on and play online, internet channel, updates ect..?

    4) Is there anything else to look out for if I'm unable to boot2 and backup?

    Thanks
