Hi everyone, i just joined this forum a couple of minutes back. am hoping to find a solution to my problem here. i am trying to set up my pc (win xp pro, asus p5gl-mx mobo, 1 gb ram, 80 gb hard disk) so i can play karaoke on it. this is not for professional singing or anything. i just want to use it at home alone or with family. i have downloaded some midi songs from the internet. however when i play them in win media player or winamp, the lyrics do not show up. after doing some internet research, i downloaded something called 'minilyrics'. now when i play the midi files, this minilyrics downloads and shows the lyrics but they are not in sync with the music. also the lyrics are highlighted sentence by sentence and not wor by word, making it very difficult to sing along for someone like me (i m not only tone deaf, i also have no idea about when a word ends or starts in a song. BUT, i do love to sing inspite of the fact that anyone who hears me sing often gets a bellyache (laughing too much) or a headache or both!). i've also tried the software 'karaoke CD+G creator pro'. but, as i'v said, i'm tone deaf and a dummy when it come to music so the software was no help at all. can anyone please help me out with my problem? i'd like to know of a simple way i can karaoke at home on my pc. with word by word lyrics in sync with the music. thanks a bunch. confused newbie, tiren
look around for some cd+g files.. they are on "the usual places" then find that winamp has a karaoke plugin XD
Hi Varnull, thanks for the input..but i can't say tat it has been very helpful to me. am not very gud with tech stuff n with internet browsing so i have no idea wat "the usual places" are. also, when i clicked on the XD link you have given, it took me to a page wich said xd picture cards for cameras which got me more confused. thanks again n plz do lemme know if there is anything more.
