How to keep my arranged channels in order?

Hi, sorry if this has been covered already, I can't find the info, so I thought I'd start a thread on it in case other folk have the same prob. My starview is working fine at the minute but slowly I'm beginning to lose a channel here and there. Sometimes I'm getting them back but sometimes not.
In case I need to do a full scan again can someone please tell me step by step how to keep my channels in order. I actually only keep about 60 in order.
The worst bit about a scan is spending the next two days or more shuffling the channels around to get them back in place. i.e. 1. BBC1 2. BBC2 3. ITV 4. Channel 4. etc etc. It takes forever. Should I do it (whatever I'm supposed to do) before I need to rescan? Or is it something I need to do later, which means I'll have to shuffle them anyway? I'm confused. It this possible anyway? Thanks for any info. Remember I'm a bit dim so it'll have to be step by step I'm afraid. Ta very much.

After a factory reset and full scan you will have to arrange them again either way the quickest way is to download an updated channel dump for your area and download it to your box. You can then order it to your liking.

Another way is to use the SVCE, (Starview Channel Editor), basically it is a small piece of editing software to arrange your favs/channels on your pc and download them to the SV. You will find the SVCE and instructions for it in the link at the end of my post entitled Eamos FTA Library.

Yes that will tell you how to upload and download channel files. If you want the SVCE you will find it in the Starview Software folder and the guide for this is in the Starview Documentation folder.

Thanks very much. I don't know what I'd do without this site. I'd probably be sitting watching normal telly with my starview dumped in the cupboard, methinks. I wonder how many folk are, lol.
