HI I am looking to buy REALLY good medias, and i'm comparing the brands, to see their ratings BUT, each brand have diffrent media code, with diffrent quality level.... On the product description (on the web or on the box ) , i don't see any information related to media code, but i do have info about the fabricant model number .... My question is : is it possible to track the media code, based on the brand and media model, or i have no choices than buy the media and see what it is with a disc info utility?? thanks
zubov, The easiest way to answer the question is you need to purchase Taiyo Yudens or Verbatim DatalifePlus blank DVD's from reputable dealers like Supermediastore.com, Rima.com, Newegg.com, Meritline.com. You will not get a media code on the outside of the package as it is written on the disk itself. This is why I suggested that you buy from a reputable store as they will usually take back a bad batch of DVD's. I usually open the Package up and then run a blank through DVDinfoPro to get the code. If it matches up then I'll use them. Buying from the above stores ,I have never had to return DVD blanks as they have always been what I purchased
Hi there, I use VSO Inspector v1.1 to provide me the Media ID of my media. Then I go here --> http://www.digitalfaq.com/media/dvdmedia.htm to see in what Class Of Media this ID is. http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia is also an other great place to see what others say about those media.
