hi guys id just like to know how to lower or increase frames per seconds on a pc. i am running windows 7 home premium.. (if that helps)... its cause i have seen m11x review by some guy he was altering fps according to games. here are the details of my laptop model : Alien ware M11XR2 processor : intel(R) core(TM) i7 CPU U 640 @ 1.20 GHZ RAM : 8gb ddr3 graphic card : nvidia GeForce GT 335M.
Simply by reducing or increasing quality settings? If you want more speed without loss of quality, you could carefully try overclocking your gpu.
and how to do that sir? i mean yeah i can overclock the processor by going to the boot menu.. (thought gpu was a diffrent story?)
Using particular software, like GPUTool for example. There are better tools available though, just do a quick search. Gputool hasn't been updated since its initial release(?).
Thats all the input you have to give? LAME! You can also try MSI Afterburn tool Its an easy overclocking tool that boost your gpu
If its more then 31 fps (Cant remember if its 31 or 29) then the human eye can't detect a difference.
Yes, you can't see the individual frames, but you may notice that the gameplay isn't smooth. I think at > 40 we're unable to see any difference compared to ~60.
as i see it, you can do a few things without resorting to overclocking. 1. defrag the game, set it on your fastest drive. 2. i assume you have newest drivers, go to quality settings in the video card control. quality (slow) vs performance (fast) is usually how it works out. 3. also can apply various settings in the game, same as above. also, there is v-sync options to limit the fps. 4. disable un-needed processes in windows, there are a few programs to do this, idk how well they *really* work though. <5. FRAPS program will tell you your games fps. if you already know all of these steps, please take my advice with a grain of salt. make sure all programs/drivers are up to date, then maybe you should try hardware optimization.
