I have upgraded many times and have quite a few IDE drives left over. I have interal IDE removable bays, but want to make the drive hotswapable so I don't have to turn my computer off to change drives.

Computer is AMD running windows xp pro x32-bit version.

any ideas or suggestions are very welcome. Thanks.

I was told that SATA is hotswapable, so I bought a card to convert IDE into SATA to hook up inside the computer. The card is being mailed to me. Should get it in a few days.

Can anyone confirm that this setup will work?
