    Hello.

I am trying to make a VCd out of an .avi file so i can play it on my dvd player. However, when i go through the process of opening up nero burning rom --> clicking VCD on the menu --> then adding the avi file---> it says it is too big (avi file is 699MB) and that it needs 2 cd's to complete....

i dont want a movie split over 2 cd's and when i try to use the dvd it says a a vcd doesn't support this type of disk.

i know it can be done (making a vcd out of that movie), because it did it to another file before without any problems and they are the same size and NOT corrupted.
. I don't know what is going on.

    please help.

    Hi,

If the .avi file is too big for a vcd, why not use nero vision express and convert it to a dvd. That would be the easier solution, i feel.

Alternatively you'll have to split the movie over 2 cds, bearing in mind that the length of a vcd is only an hour. You can only put an hour video on a vcd, irrespective of the size of the .avi file - be it 699MB or 300MB.

    Hope this helps
