how to make desktop 256 bit

    hi guys i was wondering if u could make ur desktop 256bit cuz i have a graphics card thats 256bit and is it possible to make ur desktop 256bit or am i just DUMB!

    are you talking about the color quality? like 32bit color in the display sattings? if you are, then no you cant.

    if talking about the colors on your desktop, did you know that 32bit color represents 16.7 million colors?

    No, they mean completely different things. You can only have up to 32-bit colour.

    ddp: IIRC, isn't 16.7 million colours only 16-bit? I thought 32-bit was even more...

    i think 16 bit is 64 thousand colors as you have 4 colors, 16 colors, 256 colors, 16 bit, 24 bit & 32 bit. i remember that from win3.1 using isa & pci cards. 24 bit i don't know the colors but do for 16 & 32 bit.

    Yeah that makes sense. 2^24=16,777,216. 2^16=65536. 2^32=4 294 967 296.
