    I have windows 10
When I open up some of my folders, they are suppose to be on medium icons.
The problem is, whenever I come back to that folder, it is in the details, instead of the icons. How can I get it to stay on medium icons?
I still want to be able to see thumbnails for my photos, but I want the medium icons for other things in the folder.
Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix this?
    I would appreciate any help.

What your wanting to do is make folder views stick.
1-Open folder of the pictures you want to stick it too (pun intended)
2-in menu bar click on view then select medium view option (do not close bar or window)
3-Navigate the view menu again by going to the far right
    4-select options
5-select the the top most option in the drop down "change folder & search options"
    6-select the view tab
7-hit the "apply to folders" button on the left
    8-hit ok
    9-your done

edit: this will work for any subfolders contained inside if you have images separated by that method

Thank you. I did this and, so far it is working. I will let you know if it reverts back to the problem, again.
    Thank you again for helping
