Well, I do not switch on my air conditioner 24hours or even when I am asleep. So the question is, how do I place my xbox 360 to make sure that the air ventilation is good so as to prevent over heating? Does putting two boxes on each side of xbox 360 to support its side good? As in preventing the centre of of xbox 360 making contact on the wooden surface. I am putting it horizontally instead of vertically. Any suggestion apart from the strings
Horizontally for sure. As you can see there are vents everywhere. don't block back for sure. Don't block right grill, you can block left grill, since the HDD is thre, but you notice even the HDD has vent grooves. You can block the front if you want, but then, that's kinda of stupid.
I placed the CD Holder Cake for 100 piece below the xbox 360, directly in the middle. so i will not prevent all the holes that is meant for ventilation. Hope this helps does it? lol
Aslong as air can circulate through the holes i.e they are not blocked by something it should stay cool, I hoover mine every now and then to help pull and dust and fluff out of the fans etc. You could also get some small self adhesive foam pads and stick them onto the little rubber feet of the 360. This will raise the console an extra few mm and look tider than balancing it on stuff.
