OK I NEEDED TO FORMAT MY HARD DRIVE AND WANTED TO DO A BACK UP OF MY SONGS I PURCHASED FROM I TUNES.WELL THAT "BACKUP TO DISK" FEATURE THAT I TUNES HAS WAS NOT WORKING FOR ME. SO I JUST CUT AND PAST THE 5 SONGS INTO A "SD" 512MB MEMORY CARD SO HOW CAN I PUT THEM BACK TO ITUNES I CAN PLAY THEM WITH ITUNES BUT I CANT ADD THEM TO MY IPOD NANO.WHEN I PLAY THE SONGS ON I TUNES ITS READING THEM FROM MY CARD THE SONG INFO IS ON I TUNES LIKE NORMAL BUT AS SOON AS I UNPLUG THE CARD IT CANT READ THE SONGS.
Please don't write in all capitals. Open the SD card in 'My Computer' and drag the files back onto your hardrive. Add them to iTunes from there and they'll play as well as load onto your iPod. If you set iTunes to automatically copy files to the iTunes Music Folder the files will be copied there automatically. To change that setting go to Edit -> Prefrences -> Advanced -> and finally the 'General' tab. There is a check box that says 'Copy files to iTunes music folder...'
you can also go into iTunes File- Add folder to libray- select the folder and thn go advanced- consolidate libray
