how to put subtitle under a film and re encode into a new file

    i wanna know
    i mean importing a mpg file into that software and then put subs under the movie and after that re encode it again?

    If you are Trying to Make a DVD you do not have to re-encode the File as you can add the Subtitles when authoring the DVD....
    To Hard code the Subs into the File you could use something like "Virtual-Dub" with the Subtitle Plugin and use it to Frame serve the Mpeg with the Subtitles to an encoder Like Tmpgenc...There are Guides on how to do this over at "http://www.dvdrhelp.com/"

    i don't wanna build dvd, but vcd i waant
    i wanna just put subs under a film and then build another mpg file containing the subs under it
    i know there may be lose of quality but never mind
