I would like to know if it is possible to remove text/titles in avi/mpg-files. I get sent alot of homemovies from family abroad, unfortunately they always come up with these "fun" titles or moving text through the movies. I don't want to hurt their feelings and ask to remove them because they seem to spend alot of time in it. So my question is is there a way to remove them from the file or a way not to show them when playing the file? The text on these files vary alot from colored and moving sentences to simple stationary text. Hope someone can help me or I'm going to hurt some people's feelings
If the Text is actually a Part of the Video then there is Nothing you can really do...Virtual-Dub has a Filter that says it can remove logo"s and text but all it does is Blur them which in some cases looks worse..If the Text Has it"s own Backround, Meaning it is Superimposed over the actual Movie you can edit the Parts that have it out of the Movie.....Cheers
If the movie is an AVI file there is an accompanying subtitle file which can just be renamed. If the subtitle filename doesnt match the AVI filename then they wont show. If the movie is an MPEG or has the subtitles embeded then you are out of luck
