HI All I noticed when I bought a DS light console and put an 8GB R4 SDHC card (bought with games) in the slot that it comes up with a whole bunch of chinese characters/dirs at the top. When I tried to see these (to delete them) on my PC they do not appear. Any Ideas why I can see them on the console but not on the Mac or Windows PC? I really want to get rid of them but don't want the hassle of reformatting the card to be rid of them. Thanks,
Open the window for the card on your pc From the drop down menu at the top select tools / folder options (new window opens) Select View and in the bottom window one of the options is to show hidden files and folders, apply and this will show any hidden items on the card (allowing you to delete them)
Hi kittymat, I tried that first, but these are not hidden so much as a different character set... I have 'hidden and system' files always shown by default as I like to see all files when I am looking at my pc directories. Thanks for the response though, you seem to be the only one regularly contributing to my queries. It is very much appreciated
Then I am afraid the only answer is to format the card, use Panasonics SD formatter as this has a low level option which gets rid of everything.
