Hi there, tried flashing the Starview box with thebox_H20071015_454eE_api that I downloaded elsewhere but my Starview has died. It's a genuine box. Can this be fixed?

    Thanks
    John

for a start, the software you flashed to the box is NOT compatible with sv 1's

But yes, it is salvageable ...

Make sure the sv is off, hook it up to the pc with the null modem cable

Get the RIGHT file this time ... CryptStar-v14-GenuineOnly.zip and de-archive it.

start the flash procedure as before, count to 3 then switch on the sv

IF you are lucky, it will re-flash it for you ... if not then try again
