Anyone have any idea? I'm primarily thinking Paper Mario 2. I have Viper and it works, but want to know if its as simple as hooking my PC/XP setup to the programmer and simply moving the files with disc explorer and renaming the extensions "wav"?

Anyone have any links/info about this? This is one awesome soundtrack :)

There is a program called GCTool that would definately help you out, lets you extract the files from GC images.Another program that I think might help is cubemediaplayer you can find it here http://www.cubemediaplayer.com .I haven't tested it on a GC game yet,but I seen alot of users asking for help on GC games off there in the forums.

Well actually it could be configured to where it could read GC though,so I can't really say it could be used only for PS2 ;).That is just the state of the program at the moment.Have you noticed it can use plugins though,it could have the potential in reading audio or video for GC if someone with coding experience looked at it.The plugins are dll files, pretty much based on finding extensions with certain headers inside of files.I was just making chat to be honest, but I know GCTool works fine was just saying you could experiment with CubeMediaPlayer if you wanted to if you had alot of knowledge on the file types and coding experience.Would make it alot easier if someone with the experience created a plugin that could do that.I'm sure it is possible to make it where CubeMediaPlayer could support all the systems, time consuming but would be well worth it as ripping audio or video from games is becoming more usefull everyday.CubeMediaPlayer can be used in downsampling for PS2,it has a compression scheme already built in but lacks the muxing possibilites.I honestly can say I used CubeMediaPlayer not just for playing PS2 game media on the PC,but for actually downsampling media back into PS2 games bro.If you look at some of the dll plugin files they include sources also,so all you really need to know is the file extensions to implement it to a dll file.Just a thought out of the blue, not really saying it could or not just saying it has the potential of reading and extracting the media from GC images.

Thanks! I will definitely try this one out. I also intend to see about ripping the music to RE4, Luigi's Mansion, PSO3: card rev and Mario Tennis.
